Habib Sushiya is not your usual Japanese restaurant. Asides from having the usual shabu and grilled Japanese fare, it also has some great Thai-Muslim dishes that locals considered comfort food.
Located on the ground floor of the popular The Mall Ramkamhaeng 3 it is hard to miss with its large sign. The name of the restaurant itself is self-explanatory that you’re going to be in for a halal treat.
The restaurant itself is decorated with a slightly modern Japanese vibe. It never felt crowded even during its peak times.
The menu has a nice, varied selection to suit many tastes with diners being given a choice of either the buffet or ordering off the menu itself.
The buffet starts from 339 Baht which includes drinks! It’s mainly focused on the shabu aspect with lots of beef, chicken, seafood, sausages, and veggies to make your stomach happy. Sharing is so overrated! Asides from the mains there are also lots of other types of food and desserts to satisfy your cravings. But, if you opt for the 439 Baht option you will also have the privilege of helping yourself to 11 different kinds of all-you-can-eat sushi. Value for money here get our highest marks!
You also don’t have to worry about buying drinks separately the buffet as the price includes access to unlimited refills of green tea, carbonated drinks, and drinking water.
The meats themselves are of premium quality with a bold flavor. Marinades are made in-house by the chef and the cuts are lean giving you the most natural beefy flavors.
Dipping sauces come in three choices: sukiyaki (non-spicy), sukiyaki (spicy), and Thai seafood (spicy). You can’t go wrong with any of these, but we Thais are practically fueled by hot food so we say “spice it up”!
Despite being located in a popular shopping mall, Habib Sushiya is really a great choice with an unbeatable value. Whether you want to go all out with a full-fledged Japanese shabu and sushi buffet, or just want to enjoy some halal Thai-Muslim comfort food you really cannot go wrong here. If you’re in the Ramkamhaeng area we highly recommend stopping by here for a meal and finishing off with shopping at one of the many nearby Muslim markets to complete you Muslim-friendly Bangkok vacation.
